One of the benefits of being upside down is a feeling of lightness. The “happiness asanas” reverse the effect of gravity by pulling energy away from the feet and toward the heart/head. Headstands and handstands can cultivate fearlessness and stimulate focus and concentration. Being upside down can make us feel refreshed and playful. Spending time in inversions can positively influence the cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, and endocrine systems. Learn how by practicing techniques to achieve, improve, or advance your inversion practice.
