Don’t get injured!
Join us for this course to learn techniques to keep from getting hurt while bouldering and to better assess and send problems in the gym. This clinic, taught by Bryan Simon, will include warm-up and stretching techniques, foundational fitness for core strength and climbing conditioning, how to assess a problem (move by move), and falling techniques. Better preparation and knowledge will help you dial in the moves to send your project!

Participants must be 14 years or older. This clinic is $10 for River Rock members, $15 for non-members (day pass and rental gear not included). Registration is required as space is limited!

Bryan is a managing editor for the American Alpine Club, a regular contributor for Climbing magazine, and a guide for New River Mountain Guides in Fayetteville, WV. He has a master’s degree in Mountain Medicine from the University of Leicester in the UK and has climbed routes or mountains on every continent except Antarctica.
