The River Rock Challenge (RRC) is an updated version of our Reach Your Peak (RYP) program. This is an eight-week climbing fitness training program that utilizes a combination of roped climbing and bouldering (non-roped climbing) for climbers to improve their skills and reach their personal fitness goals. The program was developed to educate climbers on the following subjects:
- Hold types
- Footwork
- Weight distribution
- Sequencing
- Dynamic Movement
- Figure 8 Knot
- Clipping ( Lead Climbing)
- ATC & GriGri
- Top-Rope Belaying
Any level of climber can participate! Improve your overall health, improve endurance, and strengthen already existing skill-sets. Of course, there are other unintended side effects that have been seen from following this program:
- Healthy weight-loss
- New-found or renewed passion for climbing
- Increased community connection
- Less tired and sluggish at work
- Better nights of sleep
Each weekly session will also have additional workouts or “homework” that will require you to make additional visits to the gym before you start the next program week. We require that participants are members of the gym for the duration of the 8 week program.

This will be available to members for a registration fee of $25.
You can either go at it alone or participate as a group in our RRC work-out sessions. Our staff will be available during the organized sessions to answer questions, give support, or help guide technique.
Must be 14 years or older to participate.
